On this earth day, themed: invest in our planet, the students of the newly formed environmental club, ‘One World’, presented on ways to bring about positive changes in our surroundings. They highlighted on investing in renewables, energy efficiency, clean transportation, natural solutions, and peace. The program started with a beautiful earth day song by the junior section students. The participants also shared on the present waste crisis and how we can move forward by segregating these at the source. They demonstrated on how students will now segregate stuffs into paper, bottles, and non-biodegradable/non-recyclable. This will be carried out as a pilot test on how students will perform it for the next three months after which the club members plan to make the segregation more sophisticated and better. The program concluded with a short documentary made by master Jigme Khedup, a twelfth-grade commerce student, on the flow of school trashes from the classes to the local land fill.
